DPS and Denver Photo Activities

DPS has a monthly competition, publishes a monthly Newsletter and activities calendar, and holds information programs and field trips. We may also list other special events of Photographic interest in metro Denver and nearby areas. We will try to keep this page up to date (see date at bottom), but contact us to let us know you will attend and to verify details.

LATEST NEWS & CALENDAR UPDATES

NEW MEETING LOCATION & DATE: Starting in January 2009, we move to Consolidated Mutual Water
building at 12700 West 27th Avenue, Lakewood 80215. Parking is in the front of the building and
you walk down the ramp on the east side to the entrance at the back corner. Meetings move
to the 2nd Thursday - first new meeting is January 8.

Denver Zoo Walk Correction - The early morning walk is on August 10, not August 3.
This is a Zoo event that requires a ticket. See newsletter for details about reserving your space.

PHOTOSHOP CLASS DATE CHANGED - the class originally scheduled for Wednesday May 7,
then May 8, has been moved to Wednesday, May 14. The Sports Photography program
has been canceled.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGIONAL SPRING CAMERA & COLLECTIBLES SHOW - Sunday, April, 13th,
9am - 4pm, Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Members are needed to help with setup, takedown,
and to provide prints for display. Contact Larry or Dee.

DIGITAL IMAGE COMPETITION - This year the club will have a trial period for competing in
projected digital images. These competitions will alternate each month with film slide competition
for the first six months of the year. At that time, the club will evaluate whether to proceed
with alternating competitions, or move to digital entirely. The print competition is not affected.
